Our friends Gaymarie and Matty were getting married, and we were invited to the joyous occasion. We were attending as guests but of course I couldn’t help myself and took along the camera anyway. I made sure I stayed out of the way of their photographer, but wanted to make sure I got some a few shots of their special day.
Melbourne turned on her charm as if she was giving her blessing to the special couple, with clear sunny skies and beautiful afternoon sunlight. Matty was inside, waiting for the ceremony to begin, waiting with nervous excitment. All his Groomsmen were ensuring he was relaxed and ready for his big day.
Of course everyone else was holding their breaths, waiting on their first sight of the Bride. Gaymarie looked stunning, led in by her Bridesmaids and Maids of Honour, as she made her entrance to St Ignatius, to be given away by her Father.
The reception was held at Flemington Race Course and the entire grounds looked amazing and beautifully presenting. We had some debate about if the venue had been prepared for the especially for Matty and Gaymarie’s reception or for the Spring Racing Carnival, but I suspect it was the former!
Pre dinner drinks led guests into the night and once into the venue proper, everyone was given orders to party and make the event a fun one.
The evening was filled with plenty of eating and drinking but more importably there was plenty of dancing, the dancefloor filling up everytime it was the band fired up. Midnight Blue sure know how to get everyone involved. The special evening was a testament to the love shared between the Bride and Groom, and the support from their families and friends.
Congratulations Matty and Gaymarie. Thank you for a fantastic night and I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. Wishing you all the best on your Honeymoon and can’t wait to catch up soon!!
