Nicholas

A few weeks ago prior to heading to Newcastle, I had the pleasure of meeting Nicholas and was immediately drawn in by his deep eyes. When we got up to Newcastle, we got to spend some more time with him and his proud and loving parents Hayley and Christian.

He had grown quite a bit since we last saw him (Nicholas that is, not Christian), which shouldn’t be a surprise how often he got hungry and how much he would eat. Nicholas was also sitting up comfortably on his own and had a love of technology (at least to the point of tasting remotes, camera or phones). Nicholas now had an endless stream of chatter coming out of his little mouth. spending large portions of the day telling us all sorts of stories. Watch out girls, if you dont fall into those deep eyes on your own, no doubt he will talk you into them!

As with most children, not everthing went Nicholas’ way. There were a few moments where the removal of a remote control or a mobile phone meant that there were a few photos that included some tears. Of course some food, the right moment’s distraction, or some attention from loving family can fix those down times and soon the joy is back on his face.

We spent enough time with the family to be able to capture some great intimate moments. There is an obvious bond between the three of them and it was a pleasure to be able to witness it and just shoot freely.

We capped off our visit with Nicholas’ swimming lesson, where he was able to show off some more. He loved being in the pool, paddling and splashing, blowing bubbles and even brave enough to go under water, safe and secure with Dad.
