Jim and Lauren introduced me to their gorgeous daughter Ava and instantly she turned on her charm. Giggling babbling endlessly in a language only babies can, she sprung her smile on us and blinked her eyes and we were sold!
Her orthodox Christening was a close family affair, starting at the family home. After getting a pampering wash by mum Lauren in the morning, Ava was soon getting all dressed up for the occasion. Just in time for some of the extended family to arrive, bearing gifts for her and coming to celebrate the occasion.
The Christening itself was at St Nicola, a well-lit, bright open Macedonian Orthodox Church close by in Preston. The priests had the church ready for the big day, and Ava’s Godparents arrived with the necessary accoutrement for her Christening. The cold water was a huge shock to her system, but the new Godparents and her family were ready to dry and comfort Ava, dress her and get her ready for the rest of the ceremony.
With proud members of the family watching on and her Mum and Dad close by, Ava recovered with just a few sniffles and she carried on through her Christening with all the love and support she deserved.
After the Christening, the celebration continued at Golden Star Reception Hall. Music and dancing was interspersed with food and drinks, but always the music and dancing continued. At one stage it call became a little much for poor Ava, but she soon recovered and was off to enjoy more dancing.
Thanks a lot to Jim, Lauren and Ava, good luck with keeping the boys away as your gorgeous girl grows older!
